IDCA aims to help eradicate poverty, by improving and promoting education, healthcare, livelihoods, social harmony, environmental protection, and renewable energy to mitigate climate change in India. We promote networking, collaboration, learning, giving, and volunteering both in US and India to support our member and partner organizations so as to help eradicate poverty. Recently, in May we organized our Second South Regional Conference in Houston, and in April , we organized First Midwest University Student Conference at DePaul University, Chicago to connect students who have visited India recently and are interested to learn and support sustainable development in India to eradicate Poverty. Earlier this year, we organized our Eighth International conference in Jaipur on January 11-12, 2012. We had more than 150 people including students from one US University and 2 Indian universities participated. Following this we took a day trip to visit a nearby village with the US students to learn about the ground realities. Following this we had our First South India Regional Conference in Hyderabad on February 3-4, and First Mewar Area conference on February 18 in Udaipur. Last year we had our Ninth International Conference in Chicago on October 15-16, 2011 and Second West Regional Conference was held in Milpitas, California on November 19, 2011. IDCA is a not-for-profit organization registered in the state of Illinois since 2004. We obtained our 501 (c)(3) tax exemption status in 2005 from the U. S. Internal service. We have been engaged since 2004 in promoting sustainable development in India to eradicate poverty and minimize damage to our environment. To this effect we have been bringing NPOs/NGOs and concerned members of our community in our Annual regional and International conferences both in India and the US and regular monthly seminars in the Chicago. So far we have organized 7 International conferences in Chicago, one in Indiana, Eight International conferences in India (New Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Hyderabad), and 5 regional conferences (Washington, New York, Detroit, and Milpitas, California). Each conference we have 10-15 speakers representing organizations working in the areas mentioned above. For the US International conference we have invited one or more NGOs from India also.
